Playgrounds

After the floods of the Fall of 2021, the Barn playground was roped off and closed due to contamination.

On February 2, 2022, during a Zoom “Meet the GM” session, a community Member asked about the status of the playground. It was asked about the replacement of the contaminated pea gravel and the timeline. The answer given was circuitous at best. The pea gravel probably needs replaced, but given enough time, it will remediate itself. The Association looked into disinfecting the gravel and opted not to. It’s very likely ok now, but no guarantee can be given, what is being looked at is wiping down all the structures and getting greater assurance everything is safe. The expectation was that it would be done by late February or early March at the latest.

At the Easter Egg Hunt on April 16, 2022, the playground was still roped off and marked as closed, and no further communication has ever occurred.
